Acer Aspire 6930 Network Help

I was wondering if anyone with an Acer 6930 has figured out how to get either the ethernet or wifi working? By wifi I mean adding a Broadcom or Atheros pci-e mini card.

For me it doesn't matter if I put leopard or snow leopard on, I cannot get either to work.

If anyone can help me that would be great because I HATE my usb wifi
It's not really a laptop if I have to take 6 different plugs around!

Thanks.

Update: I bought an Atheros 5008 wifi pci-e. When I put it into my Acer 6930 nothing happens. It doesn't matter weither I put on iAtkos, iDeneb, or Snow Leopard the airport doesn't show up.

I used a guide from someone who installed iAtkos and Snow Leopard on an Acer 6935g and got airport without any problems.

Also in his guide others with 6930 had the same network problems I am having but there was never a solution given.

If someone could please point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it! I will run any test needed.

I've got an acer 6930 too.

As I understand it...

The pin-20 method should in theory work (google it - plenty of info around) which disables the hotkeys on the surface so the wifi will be constantly on from the card.

The problem we have, I've read, is that the card sits in a pci-e slot which isn't supported by Mac OS X and requires power to be supplied to it via the OS at startup. So effectively Mac OS doesn't turn the hardware on.

If I'm wrong I'll be happy, but this seems to be the general consensus as far as I'm aware.

I believe I tried covering the pin so that it would always be turned on. I did it last december so I am not positive but I am thinking it didn't work for me. I could have done it wrong also. Did you plan on testing it? If so please post back with your results!
