Best Motherboard currently

Hi All,

I currently have a Asrock G31M-S which apparently is the worst MB going for installing OSX. I download the EFI tool, and the 10.6.2 retail disk and basically it crashes with a HPET error.

Im aware there is a custom BIOS for this MB, and i believe i downloaded the rom but ill be damned if i can figure out to install it (tried windows, and instant flash it doesnt detect the rom*

So unless someone has a way of installing OSX on this MB what would be the best current compatible MB i'd like to do vanilla with little/no patching.

Any suggestions on what board to get for my Intel E5200 processor. I have a ATI Radeon PCI-E graphics card i can use *cant remember exact model would need to install it. I think its a Radeon 4500*

Thanks

Gavin

Have you tried to switch HPET settings in BIOS?
Maybe that MB doesn't have that setting in BIOS?

Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pi 3525 (Snow Leo 10.6.2 Hazard distro)
C2D T5800 @ 2GHz; Chipset: Intel G45 Cantiga; 3GB DDR2; Kingston 64GB SSD
Realtek 8169 (from Realtek's site);
Intel WiFi 5100 AGN not woking; ALC 662
VGA: x4500 working with dual display (DVI2VGA dongle + VGA cable for Samsung 223BW) with proper resolutions, no QE/CI

I found the option it was disabled so i enabled it.

Then i got stuck on Starting Apple Decrypt.

This is using the Kalyway and snow Universal build.

Im aware there is a hacked bios for my board can anyone advise how to apply it.
