Asus P5W woes

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could help me. I've purchased an Asus P5W DH motherboard and set the BIOS settings as described in several posts on here. However when I try to install iatkos, kalyway, ideneb or iPC, all it does is display a blinking cursor. The cursor drops down a couple of lines as the disc spins up but then nothing. I'm at a total loss because I'm thinking it can't be the images I've burned as thay all fail. The guides on here seem so simple and yet my machine refuses to do anything! I don't think it's the HDD or the DVD drive because Windows installation disc boots up fine (of course )

Specs: Asus P5W DH v.3001, 4GB DDR2, GeForce 8600GTS, WD SATA HDD, SATA DVD-RW.

Any help is very much appreciated.
