When I Install It Repeats "Still Waiting For Root Device"

Happens to me too with any distro. I was told there was no fix but I'm not sure.

completely different. My CPU is AMD Athlon 64 x2. Not sure what my motherboard is though.

Use the search guys - there are dozens of threads dealing with that problem just here on the forums.

Hardwarepart you need to check for is your mainboards southbridge & wether you need a custom kernel extensions for it to work with OS X, or if you might be able use ahci capability (if present) to make SATA devices work.
