HP 6715b laptop

I have tried several versions of os x and most hang on the boot to install the only 1 I can get anywhere with is jas 10.4.8 and i get to the install screen but my hard drive doesn't show up, i tried to get into my bios to change the acpi? or whatever settings but the bios are empty. its a blank hard drive unformatted heres the specs.


amd turion 64 x2 tl-64 i think which is 2.2ghz
3gb ram
160gb sata drive

if you need any other specs just let me know and ill get them, now my questions are

1 can i get the hard drive to show up to install it on

2 is there a version working for my system, cause ive been through like 8 dvds and im getting tired of downloading versions that dont work.
