help please, the card is a geforce 440 go in my laptop device id is 0x0179 under profiler, it says the vram total is 128 mb, but i think its a 64 meg card actually. it didnt work on first boot and i followed instructions to disable the NV* kext files. i know this card is even in some older macs so im sure it should work, if anyone could post the kexts for me that would be great, thank you so much!

Try this and tell me if it works.

The name is NVinject-64 but it contains GeForce.kext, NVDAResman, NVDANV10Hal.kext and NVinject for 64 MB.

thanks for the reply zeph. just tried it, same thing, it boots, but black screen, it did say loaded successfully and did not error, but never gave me a graphical display. in my bios it says my vid card is 64mb so it def is .

i know that model well, thats the laptop i have, and from the things i have read there isnt a kext for it but keep searching if you find something that works let me know

btw also try hooking it up to an external display when it shows just a black screen

it actually wasnta blank screen just never loads vid, im doing -v boot option... same on both displays, i just tried w/ external, sucks, i wish this would work with hardware support especially considering this is the same card used in some older ibooks.

yeah this give me a panic it doesn't say what it is but right before it boots it locks the computer and tells me to reboot
this is on my test system for no efi leopard and the card is a geforce4 mx 440
