Hello,
I'm looking to dual boot Snow leopard and windows 7 with an i7. I've done some research and this is what i came up with. anything that's not compatible would be greatful to be pointed out. Also if you know a way to make setup cheaper with out compromising to much power please tell me ( as its about $1000 right now). Case Antec Twelve Hundred Tower Mother Board Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2 Graphics Card EVGA 896-P3-1260-RX Memory CORSAIR XMS3 6GB (3 x 2GB) TR3X6G1600C8 G CPU Intel Core i7-860 2.8GHz Power Supply Sunbeam PSU-H680-REV-US-BL 680W Optic Drive LG 22X DVD Burner GH22NS40 Hard Drives (X2) Western Digital Caviar Green WD10EARS 1TB I plan to use it to run Logic Pro, final cut studios, and 3d software like MAYA 2011. You need X58 mobo for i7 920 (LGA 1366), you chose P55, which is for LGA 1156 processors (like i7 860 or i5 750). So you have to change either motherboard or processor to get it working.
The rest seems to be OK. |

Yea Thanks! I did see that though shortly after posting.
Also Ive heard Hackintosh comps have keyboard and mouse problems. Anyone know if i have to buy a specific keyboard? |

There are problems with PS/2 devices, so buy any USB keyboard and mouse. I'm using one of Logitech's usb wireless keyboards and a no-name USB mouse and they both work fine with OS X.
Or you can buy Apple's wireless keyboard and mighty/magic mouse and use them with almost any USB Bluetooth dongle. |
