Backing up kext before installing
Hello all. I am wondering if someone can point me in the right direction. I ran into a problem yesterday with my hackintosh. I had the common 1024x768 resolution issue on my hackintosh. So I installed the GMA4500 kext and got everything squared away; however, after doing so my mouse cursor is stuck on the top left side of the screen. The mouse works because I can click and the object bar expands when I move around, but the cursor doesn't move. Someone on another forum mentioned replacing voodoops2 but I can't find it anywhere on my system. I made a backup of the drive before installing the GMA4500 kext so I was wondering. Since the mouse was working fine before installing these kext, can I back up the kext for the mouse and track pad, then install the GMA...kext, then re-install the kext for the mouse and track pad? Does anyone know what, or where it is located and if this is even possible? Thanks in advance.
