Hello,

I have installed mac osx86 before(rev.1 10.5.1) I erased it later but, I just try to say I installed before
But now I just get a flicking "_"
So I searched on the wiki and found:
Quote:
[cite] http://osx86.wikidot.com/known-issues#toc3[/cite]
Making Mac partition bootable

Issue: After passing various installation obstacles, the bootload hangs at a blinking cursor "_" .

Solution:
Boot with the DVD and use -s at boot load.

sudo -s
fdisk -e /dev/rdiskX --->(X is the number of your HD, if you have only on its 0)
update
f X --->(X is the number of the partition where you installed Leopard)
w
q
reboot

Mentioned with Kalway release: the bootloader does not like seperate disk names. Use a single word as name.
But I did that and I'm 100% sure I did that right, but still it won't load OSX
Can somebody please help me

I had the same problem using Zephyroths 10.5.2 on one machine. I don't know why it happens. If I'm installing my myzar 10.4.6 system again it works, but after installing 10.5.2 I can't boot with it. Really crazy.

There was an error in rev 1 that if you used guid then it wouldn't install the boot loader

Try

There's an issue with the script that installs the GUID bootloader.

Easy to fix :

1 - Boot with the DVD.
2 - Press F8, then type "-s"
3- type "cd /usr/standalone/i386"
4 - type "dd if=./guid/boot1h of=/dev/rdiskXsY bs=512 count=1 (X is the disk number and Y is the partition number on which you installed Leo)
5 - type "dd if=./guid/boot0 of=/dev/diskX bs=400 count=1
6 - type "./startupfiletool -v /dev/diskXsY ./boot_v8"

for problems with these releases go to http://osx86.wikidot.com/how-to-s and http://osx86.wikidot.com/known-issues
