Working AMD Phenom on 4 Gigs, Apps crash on 8Gig
I have been searching all the forums and other sites for weeks.
I have seen other reports of people have the same issues I have an AMD Phenom II X4 925 with everything working on 10.6.8 even the Firewire and the Video. 64 bit is working along with the 4 cores. It works as long as I use maxmem=4096 once I set it to 8 gig or let it auto detect 8 gig most of the apps like i-tunes crash. I am using the legacy_kernel-10.8.0.v2.pkg which has the kernel and the needed sleep file. I have tested many combinations of switches like busratio -force64 arch=i386 with no luck. Any ideas on how to get 8 gig of Ram working? |
