Alright, so ive done a couple days of research and i still cant get anywhere. So, i burned the iso, very slow, insert the dvd, boots up, -v, BAM... still waiting for root device... i know a bunch of people have this problem and hopefully you guys can help me find a soloution.

Specs:
Windows XP SP2
Compaq Presario V5000
AMD Mobile Sempron
ATI Radeon Xpress 200M
1.99 GHz, 1.12 gb RAM

if theres anyother info thats needed just ask and ill try and find it, also, ive tried booting using -x-f and -s. Umm, so if you could help in anyway, it would be much apreciated, i love mac and always wanted to use mac os x, i just cant offord it

Ya, actually lots of people... It's been covered over and over again. That happens to most laptops that use the Radeon Xpress chipset - including my Compaq V2312us. OSX just doesn't work well on this hardware.
