Hi installed Zephyroth 10.5.2 Rev2 on my AMD system and when I boot with -v -f -x (can't boot without -f, not sure about -x), I get:

panic (cpu 0 caller 0x001A7BED):
Kernel trap 0x1e49d43c type 14=page fault, registers ...
Kernel loadable modules in backtrace (with dependencies)
com.apple.driver.AppleEFIRuntime(1.1.0)@0x1e49c000->0x1e49efff

Any ideas? I was able to successfully install this DVD earlier and was able to run fine (until I stupidly installed the iPhone SDK with its CHUD support, which completely trashed my system. Now I'm unable to reinstall and run despite having erased, removed, and re-created my partitions.

Any suggestions?

Update:

Following instructions I found elsewhere, I booted from my DVD, mounted my HD root file system and deleted the AppleEFIRuntime driver. Upon reboot, I got another kernel panic this time from AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement. I noted in some forum that the recommended action was to also delete THAT kext. So I did that and rebooted. This time, I get the old "still waiting for root device". Not sure how to proceed now (remember, I had 10.5.2 Rev 2 working fine on this machine until I installed the CHUD tools as part of the iPhone SDK).

Prior to getting this release working the first time, I had the "still waiting for root device" problem -- but the root device in that case was the DVD drive. I got past that by adding a new version of a couple kexts that were associated with fixing SB600 (SouthBridge ATI chipset) problems. I checked, and I still do have both of those kexts in my /System/Library/Extensions directory, so that isn't the problem.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks. I wish I had read that post. I read another one that said that I had to reinstall from scratch and since blowing away my partitions and starting over, I've never been able to get Leopard up and running again. If I do, and if I reinstall the iPhone SDK I'll either a) not install the CHUD tools, or b) install them and then remove the kexts as your cited post suggests.

For now, I have to figure out what is preventing me from reinstalling leopard! Thanks.
