iDeneb v1.3 10.5.5 Released
iDeneb has recently been updated to v1.3. This new version includes the latest Mac OS X 10.5.5 update as well as a few fixes and driver updates.
iDeneb is a Mac OSX Leopard release modified by Layne and iHackintosh Team, to run on non-Apple computers. This universal release can run on both Intel and AMD based machines. The current version, iDeneb v1.3 10.5.5, has EFI support, though it cannot boot on older machines due the lack of Non-EFI boot. However, this drawback has been worked out with the Chameleon bootloader which can be installed on SSE2 computers. iDeneb v1.3 can be found throughout the usual channels. Support and further information about this release can be found at the official iDeneb site. Changelog v1.1 to v1.3:Links: Official iDeneb site. |

Here are already problems with that image:
- It optically differs from a retail disc: Changed background pic, changed readme and so on. In the system there's also a custom pic in 'About this Mac'. A resulting problem: because they replaced the background pic, the standard back/purple 'Aurora' pic is not anymore available on this version. - My nForce4 IDE DVD-ROM is not shown in Disk Utility in the unpatched version. Don't know if it's important, only wanted to write it down. - The ATI Radeon X1600 drivers won't work with cards which have the ID 0x71c2 (Radeon X1600Pro, X1650). Both AGP and PCI-E drivers will show you only a black screen with mouse pointer after installation. ATIinject doesn't work snice 10.5.3, it needs the 10.5.2 drivers. - The installation volume won't be marked active: I'm installing on partition 2 for testing, but it tries to boot from partition one. Because it's empty I get the 'apple.com.Boot.plist not found' error. - The 'About this Mac' Fix is not included,it still shows 'unknown CPU'. Personal result: The best image is still Leo4All V3. There's a patch available, but you have to use the PPF tool. I presume I would have the same same problem If I used an IDE HD.

I got everything working on a Lenovo R61 Thinkpad except for Audio Jack Output. I believe it is a AD1984, and PCWiz apparently is planning to offer this in his upcoming release. I am excited and look forward to testing that out. =)

I am looking for a good version to put on my Lenovo R61 Thinkpad. It looks as if you have already nailed it. My question is whether or not you were able to get all the drivers off this dvd or somewhere else.
Thanks. |

I was able to boot up to the part where I can format or create a partition on the drive but the HD utility could not find or list the drive of the laptop.

hmm. the MCP76 is known to work with this release. I think you should make sure your chipset is the MCP67 first... or you can reinsert the kext into the iso and repair permissions and then forceload them when booting up again... or you can just try to forceload the already made iso file when booting.
