OSX86 on HP 6715s

Hi everybody!

After successfully implementing Mac OSX on my AMD desktop, I would like to move on to my laptop. This was a cheap HP that I recently bought and I was wondering if someone out there has managed to successfully get it to run OSX. The basics specs are: AMD Sempron 3800 2.2 Ghz, 1 Gb RAM 667 Mhz, ATI Radeon X1250, 120 Gb SATA.

I would say get hold of a recent AMD release and see what happens

I also wanted to start here a thread for whoever out there has this laptop and was thinking about OSX. I'll try to keep a record of my testing here..

hi,
i have too HP 6715s, but with AMD Turion TL-58.
Well, no way to install osx86, i try any osx86, are existed!
After Bios upgrade, it says ACPI problem!

Bloody hell! Well..It was cheap lappie, so can't expect much!

The most issue, i think, a bios.
AMD Sempron 3800 has a SSE2, SSE3 and AMD Turion CPUs too! and well, you have chance to get it run!
Just try it!

I have a new bios and i can not get it backwards! I dont know how i get it backwards!

Yeah! Im going to try anyway..Winter is coming here in Finland and we get to spend a lot of time inside!

I would think that re-flashing the BIOS again with the older version might work. I dont know if u can get ur hands on it though..or I can always try and copy the version that I have ( if you think it is compatible since we have bit different hardware) and send it to u.

OK, thanks, problem is, the notebook want not reflash the bios backwards! That is the Problem. And bios chip is hard soldet on mainboard! Sorry for my bad English!
But you understand, what i mean?

Yeah! Finland is quite a nice country to live..even for someone like me that is used to be a bit warmer climates! I have a couple of German friends as well..from Berlin.Nice people. I even studied German for one year but it was a long time ago..

Yes..I know what you mean. Your english is very understandable, no worries! I have done some re-flashing on computers before and it was ok. Maybe it depends on who manufactures those. No point in trying to take it out from the motherboard though..I never liked HP but it was the only laptop within my budget..

we will see, may be i try another bios tools, to get bios backwards!
