Asus X59GL, which distro and config?
Hi all, have been trying to get iDeneb v1.3 (10.5.5) working on my Asus X59GL, but so far there has been no success after the installation. So I have decided to go back to the beginning and look at what distro, etc. I should be using...
The laptop's specs are: CPU: Intel Mobile Core 2 Duo T5800 2.0GHz (SSE2, SSE3) MoBo: ASUS F5GL Chipset: nVidia nForce 730i Ethernet: nForce RAM: 3GB DDR2 800MHz WiFi: Atheros AR928x Soundcard: Realtek HDA ALC663 Graphics: nVidia Geforce 8200M 256MB I am running Leopard on a 20GB partition on the internal SATA drive, with Vista and Ubuntu running fine on another two partitions. I also use GRUB to load the OSs. At a glance at the specs, would any of the more experienced members of the forum be able to recommend a different distro? Or the specific kexts/kernels that I should use in the install? Or is there just plainly no support for this spec? Thanks in advance! ![]() 💡 Deploy cloud instances seamlessly on DigitalOcean.
