Upgrading Sleep 9.2 kernel
I have iDeneb 1.4 10.5.6 installed with the Sleep kernel, because I have a p4, and I get that kernel panic whenever I try to mount a dmg. Now, I know I need to update the kernel, but what do I do?
Do I upgrade to voodoo, (which, btw doesn't work on my setup, I just get a kernel panic on startup whenever I choose that during install) or is there some way to upgrade to a different version of sleep? |

If a Voodoo based Kernel doesn't work you may try some other XNU like "9.4.0 Stage" or "9.5.0 fassl" ![]() AMD Phenom II X4 955 - ASRock AM3A770DE - 8GB DDR3-1333 - Radeon HD 5570 1GB passiv - BCM4318 802.11b/g - Snow Leopard Retail

I am running a P4 and I upgraded using the Stage 9.4 kernel with the 10.5.4 seatbelt kext and I am now running smoothly with 10.5.7. The Voodoo 9.5 kernel does not work for me either, so I had to go with this alternative. Look around, there is allot of information out there about your problem and allot of friendly folks that are willing to help.
