Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Music

How can I install it for Snow Leopard 10.6.4? The int. audio is working with VoodooHDA but the 2nd sound card (X-Fi Xtreme Music) is not.

There is no Kext/Driver for the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi at the moment.

So the only chance to get it working is:
- Wait until there is a kext (this could take a while or will never happen)
- Code a kext yourself (this would need some skill)

Since the best solution for Creative Soundcards kX Project says that X-Fi will not be supported there is not too much hope at the moment. Maybe you should get one of the Cards supported by kX if you really need it, or just stick with you OnBoard-Sound.

The only X-Fi that i got working so far was the one shipped with ASUS Maximus III Formula
and this only worked because the only thing that this Card has in common with a Creative X-Fi is the name. The SupremeFX X-Fi is based on AD2000B so it works pretty well with voodooHDA, but actually besides the name it is not really a X-Fi Card.

Conclusion:
The Creative X-Fi Series are not supported at the moment, you should look for a kext/solution for this every few months, maybe someday there will be a solution for this.

Bye
