Hi, I'll start by putting my specs here for you to laugh at:

CPU: AMD64 3800+
M/B: ASUS A8V-E Deluxe
Chipset: K8T890 [ VIA K8T890 North Bridge | VIA VT8237R South Bridge ]
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 6800 256MB [
NIC: Marvell Gigabit Ethernet [ integrated into M/B ]
[edit: Ripped it out | Sound: SB Audigy1 ]
[edit: HDD: Installing to an IDE hdd, so that shouldn't be the problem.]

Ok, so what's my problem? Well, the DVD (Zephyrots 10.5.2 AMD) booted just fine, installed just fine. But when I try to boot my system after installation, it freezes, the last line I get is either AppleYukon2 .. en0 .. etc .., or then has to to something with the login window application starting. If I don't boot in -v mode, I get the GraySOD, with all six languages. I've tried booting with -v, -f, -x, and even CPUS=1, even though I only have one core to begin with. I've installed the system with the SSE3 CPU [9.2.0] from the DVD, and without it, I've tried installing w/o any extra drivers and with them [NVIDIA: NVinject +256MB, the VIA-drivers, the skge drivers]. And with the same result every time.
I've read about the LAN-freeze-problem, and tried its solution, although it was related to nforce(?): the drivers install/not install, I disabled/enabled the NIC in the BIOS and booted without it connected.
Now, what I haven't done, is booted in -s mode, and played around with some .kexts. Mainly, because I was hoping you'd find me an answer that didn't involve them at all But if you've got ideas, even including them, I'd be very grateful!

Thanks in advance,
Christopher

EDIT: I've removed the Audigy card, it seemed to cause some problems, and disabled firewire, to get past the 'full-secure' error, now I've got a new error, which loops -- well, for all I know -- endlessly. Check the image I've attached. And yes, I've tried with and without having my eth disabled (via BIOS).

I've 'attached' some further information about my CPU and NIC below:

Really, doesn't anyone have any ideas on how to potentially fix this? Or are you so busy testing out the .ppf? Either way, just figured my odds of getting an answer would be better if I'd bump the discussion.

I'm still struggling with the same issue, surely someone has to know something? At least tell me it's not doable, so I can stop trying
