dual boot on dell xps 700

hello all. just to let you know this mac os stuff is new to me but i have been learning for a while. i have been trying to install snow leopard and windows 7 as a duel boot now for 2 or 3 days, and to no avail. i have tried many versions of SL and accually had install it working once, until i reboot and then that was the end of that. i dont know why it stopped working but there it is.

i have the fallowing setup.

xps 700 desktop with
intel pentium d 930
1 250gb sata hdd partitioned with 2 partitions first is for windows second is for mac os with over 100 gb on each partition
NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GTX 512 video card
4 gb ram

and i cant think of any other relevant info. if you need more feel free to ask.
i am currently using my windows 7 instantiation and have no access to a mac os for the reasons of creating a usb boot disk or any other mac related tools.
