10.6.7 running on AMD, slight problem

Here is a screencap of what happens after about 25-30 minutes of using Xcode.

I'm trying to teach myself objective C so please dont laugh at how simple and impractical the training prog is, lol...

system specs are accurate in the screen cap except now I have 3gb of ram

I'm also wondering what resources actually work on 10.6.7 for this processor... it seems like everything i think i need is no longer hosted for download.

please help, i'd like to be able to code for hours without Xcode crashing and causing a panic somehow...
