ok, i've followed sarg's advice of:

Quote:
1st: follow pippox0 tutorial.

2nd: Install Chameleon-2.0-RC5-r947 instead of Chameleon 2.0 RC5 -755.pkg on OSX Lion Boot usb.

3rd: When ins etc..
now, when I boot from flash drive, I get the loading circle going round and round and round..

Permissions

I used kextwizard to try to fix permissions on the USB stick after doing all steps but it hangs showing that.

The timeout error appears minutes after "nothing to load" .
Is it because of file permissions or not?

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: After changing everything on the USB stick to root/wheel and chmodding 644 LaunchDaemons/* I was able to boot but the installer shows up these:

Log:

Maybe I shouldn't mess with permissions like that :P

Hi,
YES you have to repair permission on USB on /System/Library/LaunchDaemons
use terminal and type

chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/LaunchDaemons

chmod -R 755 /System/Library/LaunchDaemons

Cheers

I think this is a critical step right? The "Repair permissions" button is always disabled on them. What did I forget?
i also encountered that, but i just ignore that step and proceed. after i finish installing on my HDD i run Kext Utility, OSX86 Tool and check repair permissions. and also u can do that step after installation on your HDD, just run Disk utility and repair permissions in your newly installed lion HDD.

Every time i get an error on boot i just do this steps:

a. Install Extra_Lion.pkg to USB Flash Drive
b. Install Chameleon 2.0 RC5 -755.pkg to USB Flash Drive
c. Install PCEFI 10.6 Lion+Snow.pkg to USB Flash Drive
After installing "a , b, c" on my Flash drive i always create a folder "Extensions" inside /Extra , and i paste (ElliottForceLegacyRTC.kext, fakesmc.kext, NullCPUPowerManagement.kext)

Hope it help. If you do this steps and still stuck just power off your pc and try to boot again.

Yeah, but the problem is that I just can't launch the installer properly. I will redo everything and change permissions like PippoX0 told me to.

EDIT: Well, no success. It keeps telling me to clean the media

I wonder why I am not able to repair permissions on Lion.dmg or the USB stick..

EDIT: Followed analot's advice and did everything again from the beggining (started a fight with my wife so she's not talking with me so much and I earned some hours of peace to work on this ), plus the additional steps he told me.

Anyway, I had to fix permissions on the USB stick by hand:
Code:
cd /Volumes/OSX\ Lion
chown -R root:wheel *
chmod 755 /Volumes/OSX\ Lion/System/Library/Launchdaemons
chmod 644 /Volumes/OSX\ Lion/System/Library/Launchdaemons/*
Voila! The installer now works. Updated my SL installation but it reboots right after loading kexts.
