I have Leo4all v3 10.5.3 Leopard running fine, only problem is i cant burn CDs/DVDs.

I heard if AHCI mode enabled, SATA DVD-RW works. In about my Mac i am seeing its SATA only..No AHCI mode enabled.

Used nForce Test chipset drivers while installing.

My sys config is,

AMD Athlon FX60 2.6 GHz Dual Core
Asus A8N SLI Deluxe 1805 Bios (Has nForce 4 SLI chipset)
2 Gb Mushkin DDR500 @ 400 Mhz
Asus DRW-1814BLT SATA ---No AHCI mode
Seagate 250 GB SATA II

Any help..appreciated.

Hi rohitkpatil,

you `re not alone. Since last december this is exactly my HackIntosh problem too. We can exchange our
screenshots - no problem. But one special note: The burner erases disks - but forever!!

Until now I`m using two workarounds:

1st: external USB DVD Burner in a slim line case.
2nd: Internal IDE burner.

You can take a look to my specs at HCL.

If there is any solution, it would be nice.

Darth Vader.

Writing is not currently supported with the nForce4 kext made by Medevil. I'm pretty sure everyone with a SATA dvd drive has the same issue. Reading works just fine. The only other workaround would be to buy an adapter that will allow you to convert your SATA DVD to IDE. eBay sells a lot of them.

Awesome, did that, and now my SATA DVD-RW burning CDs/DVDs properly. Thanks

Any idea when MeDevil will have a possible update for this? Is he still active in the community?
