Let's do this as a combined thread for WLAN drivers and problems.
I want to use this first post as a download-page, so if you have anything what's working whisper it to me and I add it here. Of course I can't test all drivers, it would be good if there're people who can do this. D-Link DWL-G122, A big driver with own preferences pane. Uses RaLink driver packages. I acutally need a driver for my D-Link DWL-G132. It has an Atheros 5005UG chipset, device ID is 0x3a03, vendor ID 0x2001.
Ther <should> be a driver for OS X, I read it in a forum with a rather new date. I contacted D-Link for this. 2 Opteron systems: OSx86 10.5.8, Andy's 9.8.0 kernel, Asus A8N-SLI Premium, Opteron 185 o'clocked @ 2 x 2,95 GHz (2nd system 2.6 GHz), ATI Radeon HD2600XT 256MB Dual-Monitor 2x HP L2035, 4 GB RAM, Griffin FireWave as main audio device, Marvell + nForce LAN, Asus U3S6 USB3/SATA6 card, 5,5 TB harddisk, Firewire 800 card, Apple Remote + eHome IR receiver, 2x Wacom serial graphics tablet, Canon Pixma iP4700, Logitech Internet Navigator wireless keyboard/mouse combination. I own a D-Link DWL-G122 but I have not been able to get it to work with my OSX 10.5 Zephyroth Leopard 10.5.1 install.
I have tired the drivers from http://www.ralinktech.com/ralink/Home/Support/Macintosh.html and after they install i have the preference window option, but I am unable to see the device when it is pluged in. I have tried unplugging it and replugging it in, but it is still not seen and none of the lights turn on. I have looked at the "about this Mac" under USB and it says that a Marvell Wireless Device is there Device V.1.0.1.2 Product I.D. 0x3b01 Vender I.D. 0x07d1 any one know what i can do to make this work? [edit] other USB devices DO work, USB card readers and mouse, and keyboard thanks! 💡 Deploy cloud instances seamlessly on DigitalOcean. Free credits ($100) for InfMac readers. |
