Asus 7300 GT quick advice needed please!

I wanna get an Asus 7300 GT to use with my iAtkos 5 installation.

Right now i have a 7100 GS and since im planning to later do a second pc with iatkos, i thought i get a card that`s "supported" by iatkos (its listed on iatkos wiki of recommended hardware).

Since i dont need an expensive one, the cheapest match is a 7300 GT .

Now, the price difference between the 7300 GT with 256 MB and the one with 512 MB is quite small. My question is: can i get the 512 MB ram to work without flashing the video card as i read on some posts? Another question is: since i am not playing any games on the mac , would i feel any performance boost between the 7100 GS and the 7300 GT? And, another one : since im not playing on mac as i mentioned, would it be a big difference between the 7300 GT with 256 MB and 512 MB ram?

since no one answered , i decided myself so i went for the 256 MB version. Booted up fine, at first boot, and Profiler sees it as it should...so far so good

guess this topic can be closed if there`s of no interest to anyone else.
