Have tried to install Zephyroth's Leopard 10.5.1 ISO on my Acer 5112 Wlmi which has the ATI Xpress 1150 chipset, not sure what SATA southbridge it is using, I thought it was the SB600, but I am not 100% sure. I downloaded the SB600SATA KEXTS and inserted them into the ISO with TransMac and booted it up again with the -F -V flags to load all the KEXTS - but it still doesn't see my HD. What is wrong, any ideas are appreciated.

You must find what is the chipset of the SATA Southbridge ...
Mac OS X 10.6.3 • 2.8 GHz Intel Core I7 860 • ASUS P7P55D • 2 GB 2 Ghz DDR3 • ATI RADEON XFX 4890 1GB • 2 x Hitachi 160 GB Serial-ATA • PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-112 • LaCie Desktop Harddrive 750 GB USB |

Ah cool, will look into that and get back later with some chipset info. I really want to get OSX up and running on my laptop.

Ok so Everest tells me I have the SB450 southbridge on my system and the ATI RS482/RS485/RX482 northbridge. What do I need to inject to my Leopard DVD to make it find my SATA harddrive so that I can install the OS? Any help would be appreciated,

Why don't you just wait for the next release that Zeph is going to upload in a little while?

Because he's actually doing what you're supposed to try, megaargon.
Instead of waiting for the release, just learn and try for yourself! Rev.1 also runs perfectly, if you customize it well according to your hardware... |
