Sorry, can't help you as I don't use the HDA Patcher. However, have you thought about buying off ebay a cheap SoundBlaster Live or Audigy and just using that? The new driver for these cards is fantastic.

I have M3N78-EMH-HDMI and one thing I can telle you is that you re probably using the wrong codec.
This mobo uses ALC1200.This might help you. By the way can you tell me what distro you used because I can't get any working Osx on that mobo. Please can you tell me what customization you installed also? Some realtek codec use the same device id as others probably because they are compatible, like ALC885/ALC889, so if the ALC1200 codec has device id 0883 its because for realtek they can be treated the same way.
