voodoo kernel panics error: processor unresponsive

so ive installed the voodoo kernel 9.5 ontop of my current lawlessppc install, and instead of getting kernel panics doing wierd things such as uncarchive .zip files, now its when installing software. i get a kernal panic saying PROCESSOR UNRESPONSIVE. i have a phenom 9950 on msi k9a2 platinum. any thoughts? thanks.

i dont understand..r u saying you get kernel panic on installing or during mount DMG?

no. it either just randomly panics or when installing software from the installation disc. i have retail copies of all my software, and when installing from those, it panics.

do you have more than 3.5gb of memory if so you need a 64bit chipset driver. Try taking some out so its 3gb or 2gb

i took out some ram and am only running at 2GB. only one 2GB ram stick in there right now.
