newbe, where to start for VMWare and Leopard

I have vmware in vista 64 and am looking to load the mac O/S and am looking for a starting point. I noticed that it seems to be forbidden to talk about BT so I was wondering how do I go about getting the appliance or anything that works? I will buy a full license of the Mac OS, but I need to see it work on my system first.

Can someone recommend a version and how to start and how to find the files on the net please? Any starting advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
