Gigabyte EP43-DS3L + GeForce 8400GS (GV-NX84S512HP) ; iPC 10.5.6 > blue screen
Hello all,
Tried to install iPC 10.5.6 on the HW, everything went really fine, except (sigh): 1. blue screen after changing the resolution from 1024x768: boot go to Display settings: change the resolution > after a flash it stayed irreversibly on a blue screen. 2. PS/2 keyboard used the PS/2 patch, but need to unplug the kb after every reboot. Tried all nvinject (default, 256, 512) drivers without success. No other options. Any ideas how to get around the blue screen??? NB: This mobo cost half of the EP45. Last edited by sjpapa; 05-18-2009 at 02:55 PM. Reason: add problem in title

Geforce 8400GS tips
Hi sjpapa,
Try to install the NVdarwin 256Mb kext for your videocard in a fresh install of iPC 10.5.6 final or iDeneb 1.4 ( you can easily find it on the web ): for my 9300 M GS it's THE ONLY kext driver which enables the Quartz Extreme & OpenGL ; i've tried ALL the others without any results ! Nice day Apple's Mac OS X , c'est le rêve ! *New Workstation: 4 Core Intel Q6550 12 Mo L2 o/c from 2,83 to 4,08 GHz ( 8,5 x fsb 480 ) with NOCTUA pipeline aircooler, Gigabyte GA-EP45-UDR3 motherboard, GeForce 8600GT;4Gb Corsair 800 MHz ;2xHDD 500 Gb Samsung ; 22" LCD BENQ ;apple alu keyboard; ANTEC P182 hardcase, iPC 10.5.6 PPF5 after very good result with Kalyway 10.5.2 on my previous Athlon64X2 6000+ on a K9N SLi Platinum *Compaq CQ70-118ef laptop with iPC 10.5.6 fully working except HDMI output
