Atheros AR5007 - Detected as Airport...

So I installed my IO80211Family.kext file from my Leopard install with Kext Helper. I rebooted, and airport is detected, but I can't turn it on. I click on "Turn Airport On" but it doesn't do anything.

ANY IDEAS?! So close to having a perfect install.

Update: Here's what I'm seeing during boot in verbose mode (did a new install, no longer have my Leopard IO80211Family.kext file installed):

I'm new to this forum but not to Atheros as i have the exact one too. your Ven/Dev is most likely 168c/001c right? try going into S/L/E and show contents on the IO8 kext and look for Airport Atheros and show contents on that kext. go to info and open it with text edit. click edit and find the words "IONameMatch" and look for your vendor. if you dont see it then try changing one to your correct vendor.

NOTE: this most likely wont work because i tried it, it doesnt show up and wont work at all.

Also may i have that Leopard kext for IO8 Networking? I'm trying to edit one to make it work. then I'll post it or link. Thanks

Any news about AR5007 (168c:001c) ? I am using Lion 10.7.1 on a Compaq CQ61-125EQ.

I am looking for a long time to make this wifi go. It's saying that this wifi will no work on hackintosh.

If someone have some ideeas how to make it work please replay.
