Grey screen after Apple logo...

So with me recent install, instead of changing resolutions and going to a blue screen and then the login screen, it just stays at a grey screen. Any ideas?

GPU: Intel X3100. Native QE/CI & resolution change.

It takes a couple of boots to actually boot like normal. VERY frustrating.
