Problems getting Iatkos to Boot for first time

I just installed iatkos v7 on a seperate hard drive from my vista 64 bit one. When trying to boot in OS X after a couple minutes I get a circle with a slash through it on top of the Apple logo. Any ideas what I should do?

Here are my specs:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R
Geforce 9800 GTX 512 mb
4 GB Ram
Seagate 1.5 TB HDD with vista 64 bit plus 2 data partitions on it (Iatkos is on a Western Digital 80 GB IDE HDD alone)

Thanks so much

Boot up in Verbose Mode using -v option, and see what error occurs, if it's "still waiting for root device", you're missing JMicron ATA driver, for your IDE Controller.

I get the following errors when i put the installation disk in and try to boot ( I can't do -v without the disk because it doesn't give me that option it goes strait into the mac boot screen and freezes after 2 mins)

Firewire unable to determine security mode

Kextd [47} can't add repository

Disk arbitiond unable to mount

Sorry I am a noob and i don't know what this means.

Thanks for your reply

Well OK, the error says something about Firewire, so I would go to BIOS and look for some option like Firewire or 1394 and try to disable it...
