Dell 435 + iAtkos v7 problem.
Hello,
I am trying to get iAtkos v7 to work with my 435 but im having problems. First, 435 specs: Intel Core i7-920 processor operating at 2.66GHz, 6GB of DDR SDRAM running at 1067MHz, a 512MB ATI Radeon 4670 HD video card, 750GB SATA2 7200RPM hard drive, 19-in-1 media card reader with Bluetooth 2.0, 2 optical drives: 16X DVD+/-RW and 16X DVD-ROM, integrated 7.1 channel audio, The problem im getting is that it installs fine but when i try to load it up, i get boot0:done and it just hangs there. Im not sure why this happens (im a noob at this stuff ![]() Thanks! Last edited by j123123; 10-19-2009 at 05:33 AM. |

"boot0: done" messages come from chameleon bootloader, it means it cant find or boot your OS X installation, either because something went wrong with iAtkos or it doesnt understand your disk or partitions layout.
What bootloader options did you choose in iAtkos? It may help reinstalling just the bootloader or choosing a different option. How is your disk partitioned? AsRock P45TS | C2D E8200 | GeForce 8600GTS Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.1 + Windows 7 Ultimate 6.1.7600 + Fedora 11 |

Thanks! I managed to solve that problem but now its a bit different. Everything loads up fine after install but i go to a page where i only hear sound and no video (after the apple screen).
Is it something to do with my ATI 4670? Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!! Edit: I added the VIA SATA but now i get a grey screen with music and no sound. Im so lost ![]() Last edited by j123123; 10-20-2009 at 02:41 AM. |

If you dont see the welcome video but you hear it, its surely related to your video card.
What did you do/install to have ATI support? Maybe someone has a suggestion of a better choice... Why did you install VIA SATA? Do you have any VIA hardware? AsRock P45TS | C2D E8200 | GeForce 8600GTS Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.1 + Windows 7 Ultimate 6.1.7600 + Fedora 11 |

Hi j123123. Could you share with the rest of us how you managed to solve the "boot0: done" issue? After countless attempts, I have not been able to resolve this.

It was an issue with trying to dual boot. I just got rid of the other os and tried only osx and it worked. Sorry for the late response.
