IS 690 G motherboard support ? need I install the driver SB600 ? I have spent my AHCI model in the 690 G MOTHERBOARD on MY computer , is SB600 drive necessary ?

On my ASUS M2A-VM SB600 driver give me UDMA mode for my IDE hard drive. Without it hard drive performance was incredibly slow.
So if you need UDMA - install driver. |

Sorry for late answer - was working too much.
The kext was from "http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=66399&hl=sb600" topic. It enables UDMA for IDE drives and automounts SATA NTFS volumes in readonly mode on boot. Hope this helps. 💡 Deploy cloud instances seamlessly on DigitalOcean. Free credits ($100) for InfMac readers. |
