Can't boot Live DVD

Good Morning

I am trying to run iPC 10.5.6 LivePC on my sony VPC-F11J0E/H

Everytime I try and boot the DVD, either via LiveDVD method, or just a normal boot the laptop restarts. I get just far enough to enter special boot options and I have tried the flags cpus=1 -v -x -f but it just reboots about 2 seconds after hitting enter!

Would really appreciate any help with this.

I am using an i5 processor, not sure if that is the problem or not?
