Trouble with wireless adapter
Hello there people of the world.
First off, my computer is a HP Pavilion Slimline s3400f. When trying to make a new network service, the adapter does not show up on the list. Model's specs on HP's website Here are the details of the wireless adapter (also on the website): 802.11 b/g wireless USB adapter card Interface type: USB Data transfer speeds: up to 54 Mbps Transmission standards: 802.11 b/g Supported antenna connections: 1 Operating band: 2.4 GHz and 2.5 GHz dual band Supported security protocols: WPA WEP On system profiler, it tells me: Product ID: 0x0004 Vendor ID: 0x15a9 Speed:Up to 12 Mb/sec Manufacturer: Ralink (I tried the mac drivers from their website but they didn't work. This might also be what the System Profiler thinks it is rather than its true manufacturer.) Location ID: 0x02900000 Current Available (mA): 500 Current Required (mA): 300 I am running Snow Leopard 10.6.6 with a legacy kernel. The EULA does not apply here. If you need any more information, please let me know. ![]() |
