I'm back and I have things to tell!

Thought this might interest some people, I know most of you as "internet friends" and you may like to know what I'm doing or would like to learn about another country(?)

OK, best to start from the beginning...

I decided to hop onto a plane and come back to my home, New Zealand, for a few months. I only have access to my grandparents broadband which has a 500mb download limit, which of course, I used up in the first week and a half.. (as a result, running at 4-5kb/s) and, while I have been here, I haven't been using the internet that much... grr

</nerd rant over>

Anyway, back to the story.. I got an email from infinitemac saying
Quote:
We've noticed that you've not been active on InfiniteMac for quite some time now, and we miss you!
Awww, how nice (Can someone update me with what I have missed from the OSX86 community? Any big news?)

Anyway.. I'M BACK!(-ish) So, here's my story... I arrived in New Zealand on the 26th of June, it's winter here, it's cold - well, not that cold, but still cold. Here's my travel video. Here are some pictures as I came into land..

The Alps as we flew over the west coast of the south island...

Beautiful scenery.. then um.. I chilled out in Christchurch (home city) for a week and a bit.. got some fairly cool pictures of Christchurch from the port hills, which overlook the Canterbury plains that Christchurch is located on..

Then, went down south to Dunedin for a week, an earthquake hit one evening, which was pretty awesome. (7.8 on richter scale!) Read about it.
Then, Um, I went and saw the steepest road in the world (allegedly)

Yep, that pretty much sums it up so far.. I haven't left infinitemac, I just haven't been online that much and the internet I have access to is major suck!

Yes, this post took forever to create.. a single picture took 5 mins to upload!

Oh and for all you Americans who have no idea what lays beyond your own borders... (I'm joking, no hard feelings, eh?)

Always wanted to visit there. The pics are awesome. I have a friend from NZ. He left because it was too low tech (then). But now he's talking about going back. His son's just joined college there.

Anwyay, welcome {bandwidth-limited} back!

Those are some awesome pics!

And also a very interesting story

500 MB Download limit with 4-5 KB/s? That would explain why you haven't been on Gtalk lately!

Have a great time and talk to you soon. (hopefully)
