Help with QE/CI on 10.5.7 Toshiba Satellite x205-SLI6
Hello everyone.
I have been running OS X 86 on my Toshiba Satellite X205-SLI6 17" Some hardware details: Dual nvidia 8600m gt @ 256mb each in SLI Dual 200gb sata drives BD-RE pata drive Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 @ 2.5Ghz Intel ICH8M Chipset ALC268 I have a fully working 10.5.2 Leo4all v3 Sleep, QE/CI, Bluetooth, WiFi, etc... the only way I can get qe/ci is with nvinject 0.2.1 256mb and graphic kexts prior to the Leo graphic update. EFI strings will detect the card but I have no resolution change or qe/ci Now I am on a second partition with a fully updated iPC 10.5.7 (from ppf5) EFI strings still do not work for qe/ci but I have resolution change nvinject no longer works for qe/ci but still gives resolution change I have tried using the following kexts from the leo4all install geforce.kext, nvdanv50hal.kext, nvdaresman.kext I still have no qe/ci though. Anyone have any ideas? Don't try just "using" the kexts, try integrating your Dev. ID into them, and your NVCAP setting.
If you are still using the 10.5.2 Leo kexts, DiaboliK's plister can do that for you. http://diabolik1605.com/plister/ My Specs System: Custom Built Mobo: ASRock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3 OS:Mac OS X MountainLion 10.8.2 & Windows 7 Ultimate x64 CPU: Intel Core i7 2600k @ 4.2GHz Memory: 16GB DDR3 XMS3 1600MHz Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 6870 1GB Email/Gtalk: [email protected] |

I would suggest using CoreVidia. That is one of the best injectors that I have seen to date.

I noticed with 10.5.6 the nVidia graphics kexts were different. I tried all the injectors I could find, including CoreVidia, NVkush, NVinject.
To get my video to work with 10.5.6 and 10.5.7 (nVidia 8800gt 512mb) I had to remove the GeF* and NVD* kexts and reinstall the 10.5.5 ones via 9f23installer. Once I did that I used OSx86 Utility to put in my EFI string and all worked again. I have no idea if this applies to your system, but it's a thought. :-) 💡 Deploy cloud instances seamlessly on DigitalOcean. Free credits ($100) for InfMac readers.
