Toshiba Satellite Pro A100 CMOS Checksum Bad error.

Hi,

I currently have XxX 10.5.6 installed on my Toshiba Satellite Pro A100 (PSAAPE). Phoenix Trusted Core BIOS version 6.00.

Customizations:

Chipset: ICHx Chipset Support and new ICH10
Graphics: Intel GMA -> GMA950 -> GMA950
Audio: AppleAzaliaAudio
Ethernet: Intel PRO 100/ve
Wi-Fi: Atheros Wireless
Power management: I didn't choose one from the XxX dvd.
installed and then added Apple ACPI Battery from a copy of iPC 10.5.6 dvd.

The reason I did this is although I have the battery meter working, I am not getting any energy saving modes (reduced CPU speed, dimmed display etc etc) when using the battery so the laptop continues to work at full speed regardless, doesn't do much for the battery length, and even if my battery length was only increased by like an extra 30-45min or so, i'd still like the option for it.

I thought I'd try different power management drivers to see if I could find one that worked.

Pretty much everything works, there's no issues when working within osx, I managed to update to 10.5.7 with no issues. I have scrolling, tap to click. Ethernet fully funtional, wifi, haven't tried the SD card reader, barely use it though. USB devices are mounting correctly.

The problems:

Sleep works but when I resume the display stays blank, though when using power management: ACPI Battery Manager on the XxX dvd sleep works perfectly well.
Hibernate works, which is one thing I really want as it's something I have got into a habit of using with XP. When I reboot though my CMOS gets a checksum error, the CMOS resets and I have to reenable Execute disable bit otherwise I get a reboot loop. Sometimes I even see a Dynaboot screen instead of the normal Toshiba one.

I'm fairly new to this so I realise the problem i'm having could purely be down to my misunderstanding of what i'm selecting when customizing my installation.

If anyone can share any tips at all that'd be great! Thanks!
