Boot0:done/MBR and other things
Hello,
first, thanks to those who have helped me this far - especially thorazine. I have now successfully installed iPC Mac OS X on a partition of a 1 TB external Sata Drive. However, I have a few problems to work out: 1) I cannot boot without DVD. If I try to boot directly from the USB Drive I get this flooding down the page to infinity: Boot0: done Boot0: MBR Boot0: done Boot0: MBR Boot0: done Boot0: MBR Boot0: done etc..... Note: before this I got this Boot0: error, which I fixed by making my Partition Active. How can I solve this? All I read about is that it has to be Primary and Active, which is already the case. So what's wrong? 2) My specs: ASUS PQ5 Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 Nvidia Geforce 9600 GSO Realtek ALC1200 Atheros AR8121/AR8113 PCI-E Ethernet Controller Now, the Chipset driver seems to be working. I can boot OS X and view the specs of my Chipset. (However only one CPU is running because of the cpus=1, instead of the four... A problem I seek to resolve, also, but it's not as urgent as the rest. Nevertheless, if you have some info for me, please tell me..) For the Geforce 9600 GSO, I have looked at acqua -man's forum and guide on how to install a kext for that, but the Geforce 9600 GSO isn't in his list, so which strings should I take? Is there something I can take that will work? For the Realtek ALC1200 I found this: ALC1200_1057_SLIM.zip which includes AppleHDA.kext and HDAenabler.kext. Using kexthelper I installed the kexts and restarted, but I still have no sound. Any idea why? For the Atheros AR8121 I found this: AttansicL1eEthernet.kext, which was supposed to work. I installed with kexthelpr and rebooted, but like the sound, it did not work either. Why  ?Thank you for your help!

I have windows installed on another Hard drive, so I have LAN there, but in OS X I don't have LAN. Like I mentioned above, I found the correct kext for the atheros ar8121 and instaled it with kexthelper and rebooted, but nothing happened. Same thing happened with sound.
I'll download the Chameleon Bootloader in windows and then install it in OS X, but I'm sure I already checked the Chameleon Bootloader in the iPC install...

All right, I installed the Chameleon Bootloader 2.0
The error "Boot0:done Boot0:MBR" persists. And I never encountered a Boot screen where I choose windows or OS X. I had to press F8 and then choose the external harddrive to boot from, which did not work, so I am still stuck at booting from DVD. Am I supposed to configure Chameleon in some way? Thank you for your help. I hope I am making sense..

Ok Update:
I reinstalled Chameleon, opened Terminal and typed (following another guide): sudo -s fdisk -fboot0 -u -y /dev/rdisk1 Which did not work. It said it cannot find the partition or something. Then, I tried another LAN Atheros AR8121 kext, loading it with Kexthelper. Then, I opened EFI Utilities and took the Geforce 8800 GS device, changed the name to Geforce 9600 GSO in the hex and saved to com.apple.bootlist or something. Then, I rebooted. Again, I had to boot from DVD. The atheros kext didn't seem to work, I still did not have internet. Neither did the thing with the Geforce 8800 work. I still have 800x600 resolution and cannot change. So, I tried to boot into Windows, but before startup I got stuck at the blank screen with blinking cursor at top left. I put in Windows CD and went into repair and typed fixboot and fixmbr, which resolved the problem. Windows working fine again. Out of curiousity, I rebooted again and tried to boot OS X from the external HDD and not from the DVD. The Boot0:done and Boot0:MBR thing has disappeared.... but I am stuck at the blinking cursor now. Booted into OS X again from DVD, but now my mouse and keyboard don't work anymore! Help please! To confirm
I dont know how far you have done now, but to confirm
 maybe help somebody else)1. Install osx on a primary mbr or a GUID partition. 2. Install Chameleon 2.0 RC1 on that same osx partition. I.e choose you osx primary partition while installing chameleon. Choose the HDD with the osx/chameleon partition from pc bios boot menu or within bios. 3. Use "kext helper v7" or "osx86tools" to install your kexts. 4. Install "VoodooHDA" for sound. -jp 💡 Deploy cloud instances seamlessly on DigitalOcean. Free credits ($100) for InfMac readers.
