I havent got a clue sum1 help

i have a dell inspiron 1520 with 3gb ram i downloaded ipc 10.5.6 burn image onto disc and went i boot it it just comes up kernal panic and crashes am i doing somthing wrong can some1 help i cant find answer anywere please.

run it with -v flag and say on what line it crashes or freezes.
