i7 and intel DX58SO Mobo

I have an i7 processor with an intel DX58SO Mobo

Ive tried to use iAtkos V7 and IPC 5.0.7 but both give me the exact same error

When i try to boot to the disc i have the option to press f8 or anykey, Pressing anykey it appears to load, then restarts on its own. When typing in -v is get this:

Loading Darwin/x86
Loading Kernel mach_kernel
Loading HFS+ file: [mach_kernel] from 4230480
Loading HFS+ file: [mach_kernel] from 4230480

Ive been looking for 2 days now all over, best ive found is people talking about that its a hardware problem. At the same time ive seen people posting that it works fine on that board and processor. Any insights?

As I posted in another i7 thread:

Quote:
It's your i7 processor causing the problem. I think you need to install the voodoo kernel and boot with the busratio=20 flag. You can add this into the com.apple.boot.plist to save typing it in on every boot.

Alternately once booted up you can replace the voodoo kernel with the one from this thread.
Unfortunately, you'll have to use the voodoo kernel until Apple starts supporting the i7.

We have now released the Ultimate Snow Leopard bootloader system for general testing on DX58SO and other select Intel boards here:
http://www.convertit2mac.com/forum/i...4&threadid=159

Ultimate Snow Leopard includes bootable RAID support, automatic detection of multiple Nvidia cards and essentially full, native support of the DX58SO (with the exception of analog surround sound output).

💡 Deploy cloud instances seamlessly on DigitalOcean. Free credits ($100) for InfMac readers.
