iatkos 10.5.7 package install issue

I believe I have the correct seatbelt kext installed. DMG's mount find and I do not get kernal panics. I just installed today and I have everything working perfect.... sound.... video..... internet. My only issue is installing PKG files. Every time you try to install it freezes. Also of note iAtkos only loads in verbose mode, but works perfectly in it. When trying to boot regular it appears to load and then just freezes when OSX loads. When I load up in verbose I try to read the text and nothing jumps out as being that abnormal.

I am able to install packages using Pacifist.

I am sure this is a kext issue of some sort and I have done searching via google and in the forum and I couldn't find a thread with this issue.

Any help you have would be greatly appreciated.

Also my Kernel version is 9.5.0

I really think it may be related to the seatbelt and the system kext files, but I followed the instructions pinned at the top of the forum and they did not help.

Thanks for your help!

Try verifying the disk using disk utility. Then repair permissions. After it finishes restart your computer and try installing the files.
HOPE THIS HELPS YOU
GOOD LUCK

No dice. It is still exhibiting the same behavior. Is it possible the system.kext is the one giving me a problem and not seatbelt? If so where could I download a clean copy of that kext that goes with my kernel?

I changed the kernel from voodo 1.5 to 1.7 (I believe that is what it said). I also removed some things I deemed unneeded after first install. It works!! Thanks for your help.

The problem has resurfaced. Same as before. I did a clean install again and it still exists. I went back to the 1.5 voodoo kernel instead of the 1.7 it ran a lot smoother on my system.

If I am logged into safe mode (-X) I am able to install things no problem. And run software update. When booted normally any package installs freeze and software update freezes before it even loads 25 percent. So I really think we are dealing with some sort of KEXT issue.

Are the Kext files not loaded at all in safe mode or only some of them? I am trying to figure out what is the problem one but I don't really know the best way to do it without just deleting a bunch and keeping my fingers crossed haha.

Thanks for your help!
