No sound asus a8nsli

Hi folks first time asking for help here, I have a weird problem with sound, first up its an a8nsli amd motherboard running 10.5.6 and i have ac97 sound installed and working fine.

Now i bought an apple slim usb keyboard, and it works fine also, but to get sound i must have my old ps2 keyboard plugged in at same time.
I have done a fresh install several times and same problem,

Any help much appreciated.

When I searched, I didn't see this thread,

I just posted a similar question with same specs.

Did you get your sound issue resolved?

Smile asus a8nsli

Hi welcome to the club a8nsli,
with OS X my board made quite a revival in december 08 I could not believe
that OS X was so superior to anything MS is proposing.

When I was running Vista or XP the onboard audio made horrible audio glitches so
I installed (few years back) creative sound blaster audigy 2 ZS and wich works
perfectly with Eugene Gavrilov's kexts

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/ind...owtopic=104797

But I have also a creative audigy SE wich does not work!
I tried different things but no way.

Good luck.
