Hey guys.

I am trying to install Snow Leopard on my laptop which is a HP Pavilion DV2540ev. Here are the specs of it:

1.67 GHz Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processor T5450
Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator X3100
Intel ICH8
Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945 802.11a/b/g Integrated Wireless LAN
Ethernet 10/100BT integrated network interface

I tried this guide here from SaCleoCheater but no luck.

Snow Leo installs succesfully, i do the required steps as mentioned on the guide but at the first boot and every boot after that i am presented with the following kernel panic.



I must mention that i run iatkos v7 with Vanilla kernel without the smallest problem,glitch or kernel panic.

Of course after failing with the guide above, i tried installing chameleon2, replacing pcefi with 10.x versions,differnet kernels but still no luck.No matter what i do i am presented with a KP. I am pretty sure the laptop is able of runnin SnowLeo since SaCleoCheater as i see from his signature has the same specifications as mine and is also a laptop so i am guessing it must be something really stupid that gives me the KP.

So, any ideas?

Hi. On my pavillion I got similar kp when dsdt.aml was missing in the root directory. This also occured when wrong boot file is used. Make sure you copy the boot file from the bootloader package to the root directory of the partition you are booting from. Also after updating my bios version I got s smilar kp. Could only boot using CPUs=1.

Another thing you can try is make sure you only install fakesmc, uidplatform with your uid in info.plist, nullcpu and openhalt kexts. Remove dmos and appledecrypt if installed.
