I've seen the sticky post above but i would like some more info because with all these info my brain is about to explode. Now, I have an original Retail MAC OS X 10.6.4 installation CD that came with my Mac Pro and I don't want to download any other distro nor install it to another partition on my Mac Pro and would just like to just use a program like Empire EFI v1.085 to install a fresh copy of the MAC OS is it possible? Somehow i'm getting some kind of kernel panic or something which my screen just go blank, black nothing come on the monitor after i boot up the DVD with EFI. Any idea how i can get to the installation screen GUI to start the installation? Any other method than the above sticky post for the evga x58 mobo? Sorry i'm stilll new with MAC. Thanks fellas.

Just get the tonymacx86 iboot cd.
