GTX 285 Bad Performance

Hi,

I'm using Nvidia GTX 285 on my hack. Getting very low score on Xbench opengl, and expose/spaces isn't working very smooth. Currently with gfx strings, but I've also tried ATY_INIT with same results.

Anyone having same issues?

Forget Xbechh OpenGL
- way to small OpenGL window 300x200!!!= more an CPU Bench than OpenGL Bench
- only OpenGL 1.1

Use OpenGLExtensionsviewer Benchmark to compare !!!
- use fullscreen, higher resolution (>= 1200x800), Benchmark ON, Multisampling (FSAA) * 4

Thanks for your reply. I will try this bench today. Anyways, something is causing very low FPS with Exposé and Spaces (more when moving with Ctrl+arrows through spaces).

Is this normal or am I missing something?

I have slow performance too with my 9300m gs. I did the openglviewer benchmark and have better results in leopard (using aty_init). Font rendering is better in leo too.

Chinasky, on Snowy, are you using EFI string or ATY_INIT?

This seems to be a common issue with nvidia and 10.6
