you should enable AHCI or you should get the your southbridge and chipset information to get necessary kexts to reach your HDD.

can you do your ideneb DVD with suitable kexts?

you can get information how to change kexts file in DVD.

from this link with my posts.
http://www.infinitemac.com/f5/sb700-sucks-please-help-t1435/page2.html

you will need transmac trial version to read and write ideneb iso.

but you should create Extensions folder in Ideneb dvd. because it uses only mkext.

I recommend you LS8V14 drivers you can find from insanelymac forum.

it is suitable for GA-p45-* boards maybe it can support yours.

or you can search your asus board on insanelymac , your board seems popular one to run osx.

you find bios screens to change settings.

from this link

http://lifehacker.com/348653/install-os-x-on-your-hackintosh-pc-no-hacking-required

dont forget all things are experimental , it may work or not, you should try and share if it is working:)

to get information how to find AHCI section in bios you can also read the your mainboard manual. and you can also download from asus web site.

I hope it helps.

"Still waiting for root device"

this is a common error and if you search here or on insanelymac there are many tutorials on how to overcome this problem

for laptops , generally dont need to cahnge anything, if you dont use sata Harddisk.
if you are using brand new one, you should look at the manual of the notebook and say us what can we do?

for aydinz , can I ask you? which solution is perfect one? did you tried?

hello,
i have a problem iDeneb v1.3 10.5.5 install too...

I have an AMD machine with SB700 chipset motherboard i put Extensions.mkext into the dvd image. At the last 2 minutes the install process seems like freezing, no answer, anything...

I could install Kalyway 10.5.2 on my pc using the same kexts and I'd like to update 10.5.5.

it seems you got working?

for sound, you should know the your soundcard chipset such as realtek ALC889.

for ALC889a, ls8v12 should have AppleHDA.kext :) and hdaEnabler.

for LS8v14 kext and just another example, look at this link

http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=132211

for further information , use your mainboard name , chipset as search

I didnt understand you:) what you mean? we couldnt help to you?

did you check 5.1 dolby surround is working , if not , dont worry mine also does not work:) and there is no solution for now, if ALC889a chipset can be recognized by Linux , I think Taruga patch also work with charm:)

Nexusmac, You helped me just fine for what you could help me with! To be honest, For me the set works like a charm! No idea HOW i did it but i did it! So i dont see all the hassle about the 5.1 cause it works like mad after i tryed almost everything on any forum i could find, so i have here a Full working audio 5.1 set :D and leopard working like crazy! Only i need to find some good programs for it :)

nexusmac

finaly, You are running on Leopard without problem:) and 5.1 surround is better for you:)

nice, I am happy for you.

for p35 chipset , you can get audio 5.1 without a problem. and the problem is ICH10 with ALC889a.

I also want to know which one helped you to get 5.1:)

and do you share us your experience about ideneb installation which options did you select and
did you work with 945 chipset?

@Undertaker86: Hi, I have the exact same Laptop (VGN-N31m) and I'm also interested in how you got Ideneb to work on it. Did you patch the DVD or not, which options in the installer did you select?
No matter what I do it still hangs after the message "Still waiting for root device".

Greetings Seeed
