Please any helps appraciated very much?

You must use the last Bios version if you still got this error reburn again the ISO (low speed)

roisoft:Reburn again the ISO (low speed) because you have a "SAM multimedia..."
I'm not sure if that will solve that issue... I have a similar motherboard and as far as I remember I solved the problem by replacing the IOATA.kext from the installation image with the one from my Tiger installation that works.

Thanks for reply roisoft,
I allready tried that with 2x speed, and checked the data via nero data checking, no error occured at all.
Do you know what's the md5 of iso image of rev1 ?
And should I try with -vanilla flag?

Ahaa, HCA plz could you post the steps to achieve this replacement?
On my AMD platform, JAS 10.4.8 Tiger worked perfectly, just had some problems with video playing.

I have this board too, the last Bios solves this kind of problems.

Donīt use the "cable select" jumper for set to slave the DVD ok?

I have the same motherboard.

make sure you have the latest bios. Your motherboard most likely has a 1205 revision. The latest is 1405. After I updated the BIOS, zephyroth's DVD booted and I was able to install. However, with his motherboard, you are going to have a problem with the installation freezing at 1 minute. When it does, it will reboot itself eventually, so boot back up the DVD again, and just continue the installation. It will say something like "this will take about 115 megs of space" when you go to install again. It will be done with about 2 minutes. You'll be able to boot into your newly installed Leopard now, but then it will get stuck at "Creating your account" after submitting all of your account info. When you do a hard reboot after that and try to login using your acount, the desktop will start to load then will kick you back out to the login screen again and again until your pc eventually crashes. I've even tried using the firwire account transfer from my iMac to my AMD machine, and that froze too.

Best bet is to wait for Rev. 2. Don't jump for the 10.5.2 release as it has broken some packages.

ANd I KNEW I was right about my motherboard being popular!

is it possible to have some other problems like BIOS options because I'm sure of that
I got the latest version of BIOS. Do you remember how did you set BIOS up? Maybe some overall hardware mistake?

LohnenNicht, to solve this problems, unplug the network cable or disable all the ethernet adapters in bios, you can enabled after the install , the same for firewire

roisoft

there are 3/4 options behind the dvd, left-to-right order

1. Master
2. Slave (use this one for Slave)
3. Cable select (this works in windows but it cause problems in mac)

No it isn't the problem, the jumper is set to second choice "SLAVE" one.

Plz, the community..
Anyone has the same branch of CPU (one core) and the same motherboard and as well got LEO installed
successfully. Plz tell me where did you start to have problems, which steps did you follow to solve them?
This guide will not only help me but as well other many people. As "LohnenNicht" said this mobo is very populer.

At least anyone knows "Zepyroth" will let us install the most perfect OS LEO on our mobo with rev2?

You said "LG DVD-RW first ide port (master) I donīt have more ide devices"
then why did you advice me to use my DVD writer as "SLAVE"?
and I couldn't understand why did you multiply everything with 2? You have 2 PCs?

ok, like I said, I tried to transfer my account info from my iMac (I'm using it to type this), and it stilld oesn't let me log in.

I guess the best way to do this is to also put Tiger on it. Unfortunately, Uphuck and Tubgirl have both been very difficult to get to work. They would crash a lot when I booted up my system. Saying "You must restart your computer" in about 2340923053 different languages.

Do you have an external case?

if yes, put your disk here and plug the case to the imac, open the disk utility and format the disk with 2 partitions (guid)

restore the zephy iso to the second partition and install pc_efi from your imac. Plug again the hd in your amd system and boot from the second partition and install.

Hey roisoft, thanks for the suggestion, but when I try booting from the external hard drive, it does boot up and work, but only to the point where the AppleNForceATA thing is loaded, and then it just says "still waiting for root device" looping. Any other suggestions? I really want to get leopard to work on my system here... here's the code:

seems to be hanging on the "time remaining: calculating..." screen. I'll wait 30 minutes and if it doesn't look like the bar has moved at all then I'm giving up.

EDIT:

It's installing now.... finally. Let's hope this time everything is cleared up.

Btw, roisoft, do you think it's a good idea that my leopard hard drive is my slave drive, and is booted from pc_efi from my linux/grub installation on my first hard drive?

With Sata drives, no problem but with Ide drives i think itīs better Mac Os like a master drive, but maybe iīm wrong, you can try add Mac OS to the grub list but i donīt know if your slave drive can boot properly.

thanks roisoft. Yes, as I've explained earlier, I've installed zephyroth from DVD-ROM before, and I booted it from grub installed on my linux partition on the first hard drive. I could get the login screen and it would let me fill out my account information, then it would crash. When rebooted and tried to login, I kept getting kicked out of the desktop and back to the login screen again.

I'm trying the install from my external hard drive as of now, so I'm waiting to see if it fixed the problem. If not, I'll try the iATKOS amd patches, because some people have reported success.

Same motherboard here and everything went pretty smooth. Didn't have the 1 minute remaining issue or anything like that and I transferred my info from another partition and logged in straight away. I'm using an X2 3800+ with PATA IDE hard drive and Pioneer DVR111 dvd.

My BIOS options are below:

IDE
Sata enabled
Sata raid disabled
Silicon image sata disabled

USB legacy disable

Both LAN enabled
LAN bootrom disabled
Audio auto

ok, I got it to install using iatkos, with AMD patch and then new kernel and other patched files. Was a hard run, and I had to do the single-user root passwd touch applesetupdone thing to get into the desktop, but it works now.

I have not gotten the MarvelYukon to work, but I'm working on it.

Ok, everything works so far, just have to edit the marvelyukon vendor id and hopefully it will speed things up. For now I'm using my Leopard install as of writing this with my firewire shared connection.

Full 3d, front row works, itunes works, optical audio out works, everything works.

I will write a guide and post it.

Thanks for your help roisman, even ethough I ended up using anotehr DVD LOL

So you didn't have any booting problems? Did you boot without bootflags?
?f so maybe it is because of that you use different CPU (X2 3800+) a dual core one..

We would appreciate your help LohnenNicht, plz post a step-by-step guide for us newbies..

I tried changing my IDE HD connection from master to slave didn't help at all. If I don't use any bootflags
it continues giving errors on "SAM Multimedia error..." , if I use -v -x flags (others as well cpus=1 -legacy platform=x86pc)
then what I got is stuck on line "Darwin Kernel Version 9.1.0: Fri Nov 16 14:50:43; made by ToH:xnu-1228.0.2~1/Build/obj/RELEASE_I386".

That's it, I couldn't do anything else :(

No booting problems at all. I don't use any boot flags at all. Maybe the cpu is making the difference. Perhaps your cpu is only SSE2.
