It looks like xpchelper quits and refuses to start causing some apps to just hang when starting ...

Looks like it works on my end BUT I have not restarted yet to confirm scififan68's finding of it causing a hang at login ...

I just restarted and there was no hang at login ... The annoying xpchelper crashes are still occurring though !

There is nothing wrong with the xpchelper, It's a kernel bug.

Ah yeah, upgraded to kernel v3 and finder from dp2 works as it should on boot. But my system feels slower for some reason now.

Check my reply few pages earlier..xpchelper crashes and then it starts being sluggish because reportcrash eats all your cpu.

I'm also wondering if anyone is working on the kernel at the moment? It's really silent

Unrealized, well I already followed your instructions to make it unexecutable, still acts like its sluggish a bit.

It does indeed, there is something else wrong in the kernel itself.. I personally reverted to a older kernel.

Also I'm wondering if there is any real difference between the kernels since they are exactly the same in size..

Also, proof for some people who say App Store doesn't work, it works fine here:
